  1. Which cut of diamonds has the most brilliance?
    Round cut with typically 58 facets. 
     
  2. What do I use to clean my jewelry?
    Mr.Clean with some hot water as the mixture will not leave a film on the diamond. Let set for several minutes. You can also use a toothbrush to brush small crevices.
     
  3. Do you recommend buying diamonds on line?
    No because there is no way to see the brilliance of the diamond, the effect of the fluorescence before you buy it and there are many details on the diamond certificate that the average person would not know what to look for.
  4. Is color or clarity more important when purchasing a diamond?
    Color is more important as it is seen every day and adds to the brilliance of the diamond.

  5. How long has your company been in business and am I really getting a better deal?  
    Lyles Degrazier has been in business since 1949 and has always been wholesale therefore the prices here are much less than retail.

  6. What is the custom process and how long does it take?
    Lyles DeGrazier has an in-house manufacturing shop that can create custom designs. After an initial meeting with the customer to determine design, the next step will be to send a CAD (computer aided design) for approval. Upon approval, the jewelry piece will then continue in the process until final completion. Our custom process takes a minimum of 4 weeks from start to finish. 

  7. Do you use conflict diamonds?
    No. We only purchase diamonds that have gone through the Kimberley process* (for more about the Kimberley process, please visit: http://www.kimberleyprocess.com/en/about)

  8. How do you get into the World Trade Center?
    By appointment and/or referral only. Please call 214.747.3558 to make an appt. 

  9. Will my diamond ever leave your company’s possession if I do a custom job?
    No. We keep all diamonds and jewelry locked in our company’s safes.

  10. Do I get an appraisal?
    Yes. We will provide you an appraisal to submit to your insurance company for values greater than $1000.

  11. What if I currently do not have any insurance?

  12. How often should I get an appraisal done on my jewelry?
    We recommend every 5 years.

  13. What is the trade up/trade in policy?
    We will provide credit for the full amount of the stone purchased to put towards another stone.

  14. What is your warranty?
    For any manufacturer defects we will repair for the 1st year after purchase. 

  15. What certifications do you sell?
    GIA, EGLUS, IGI, AGS

  16. Do you do financing?
    No, not at this time.

  17. What types of payments do you accept?
    We accept cash, check, and credit card (MasterCard, Discover, and Visa).
